D.i.Re. together with Unhcr to develop skills dedicated to the reception of refugee and asylum-seeking women in anti-violence centers.

He starts with a first choral activity on project supported by the UN Refugee Agency UNHCR. The aim of the project is to increase and improve access to anti-violence centers for refugee women and girls and asylum seekers, through the construction of a network of cultural mediators, to be included in anti-violence centers, trained on the issues of violence and hospitality for women and girls who have suffered violence and who once landed in our country need to find a safe refuge and adequate hospitality; all of this to allow all women and girls to have a timely exit path from violence.

Il workshop, which takes place in Rome the next 8 and 9 November it involves all 80 anti-violence centers that are part of D.i.Re. and it is intended to be an initial opportunity for discussion at the national level, also with institutions, to take stock of good practices and reception models.

“We believe that our association - which has been dealing with the issue of violence against women for 30 years - cannot remain silent or silent in the face of the hundreds of thousands of women and girls who have arrived and continue to arrive in our country. We must adapt our model of reception and support to allow these women and girls to face the path of escape from violence. These people are carriers of new instances, of a different culture that we absolutely must take into consideration. We are honored that the UN Refugee Agency has chosen to support us in this long journey and together with them we want to give a prompt response for all the women and girls who suffer violence already during the long journey to reach our country and, often , continue to suffer from it also in Italy ".
