D.'s campaigni.Re for the rights of all women
Freedom is not a privilege, but an inalienable and interconnected right.
If even one woman is deprived of her fundamental rights, the freedom of all women and of the entire community suffers. D.i.Re has been committed for years in the fight against male violence against women, aware that self-determination, empowerment, independence Economic Sustainability e social justice they are not watertight compartments, but elements assumptions which feed on each other and influence each other.
"The freedom of women, of each and every one, necessarily passes through overcoming male privilege.” declares Antonella Veltri, president D.i.Re - Women on the Net against violence. "We activists of the anti-violence centers of the Network know well what it means to try to achieve women's freedom together with all the thousands that we welcome every year.” continues Veltri. “We do this starting from freedom from violence, to support women in achieving all the freedoms that are the basis of a dignified and chosen life.. The difficult historical moment we are living in must reinforce the principle that freedom is not a privilege”. concludes the president.
Are we truly free? Free to decide about our bodies? Free to report without fear? Free to walk at night without feeling in danger? Free to be a mother, or not to be one? Free to work without being underpaid, precariously employed, harassed? Free to leave an abusive relationship?
In a world where some women can choose and others cannot. Where independence is a privilege, not a guaranteed right, where violence creeps into everyday life, relationships, work, institutions, D.i.Re launches the campaign LIBERE TUTTE to draw everyone's attention to the need to continue to protect the rights achieved and not forget those still pending, in our country, but also throughout the world.
Freedom is not individual. It is either for everyone or for no one.
