2024-2025 | D.i.Re thanks to the funds Eight per Thousand of the Waldensian Church intensifies networking to strengthen the protection of victims and promote more effective policies to combat gender violence. The project includes capacity building and mutual learning activities, with the direct involvement of operators of Anti-Violence Centers and collaboration with third sector bodies at national and European level.
Various online meetings are planned for operators and activists with a focus on the application of European directives, sharing good practices and comparing with international networks such as WAVE. A dedicated webinar will illustrate the funding opportunities of the CERV program.
The meetings, led by experts, will encourage discussion and the exchange of tools and methodologies. Among the experts from civil society who will lead the training interventions there is also the representative of Unizon, the Swedish national association that brings together over 140 women's shelters that offer support and protection to women and children who have suffered male violence.
Thanks to the efforts of legal experts and activists, D.i.Re strengthens national and international action to align policies and regulations with the principles of the UN conventions, CEDAW and the Council of Europe. Among the initiatives planned are also the production of reports and participation in international networks WAVE e EUROMED.
