The European campaign WAVE Step up! in 2017 it focuses on women who find it difficult to ask for help, precisely because of their status as invisible women: irregular migrant women and disabled women. These women are victims of mistreatment and silently suffer and are afraid to ask for help because very often those who mistreat them have their destiny, their freedom in their hands.

The Istanbul Convention art.4 prf 3 prohibits certain types of discrimination stating that the implementation of the provisions of the Convention by the Parties, in particular the measures intended to protect the rights of victims, must be guaranteed without any discrimination based on sex, about gender, race, color, language, religion, political or any other opinion, national or social origin, belonging to a national minority, wealth, birth, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, health conditions, disability, marital status, migrant or refugee status or any other condition.

WAVE initially pledged to press for the Istanbul Convention to be signed by the European Union so that the standards of prevention and persecution provided for in the convention become standard for all European countries.

Also in 2017 D.i.Re collaborates for the European campaign Step Up! And among the various objectives of the campaign, she decided to focus her energies on two actions to improve the reception of women victims of violence:
