Past and present contributions:

- law proposal: -

- proposed amendment on: -

- specific project: In my 16 years as a United Nations official, I have contributed a lot to promoting concrete actions and awareness-raising and political negotiation activities in favor of the women's rights agenda. In particular, I supported the creation in Burkina Faso of a multifunctional center for the rights and protection of women (Center du bien être de la Femme de Ougadougou), which dealt with legal assistance to women victims of violence and the fight against of genital mutilation. I then promoted the Security Council Resolution on Women in Peace and Security, in particular in peace-building activities in sub-Saharan Africa and in the prevention of violent extremism in the Mediterranean countries.

- material support to: Financial contribution to the activities of the Center du bien etre de la femme in Ouagadougou.

- political activism for: Women's rights, in particular political participation (with the organization of a school of politics for young women and the promotion of several women in the leadership of Più Europa) and the defense of women's rights in the world of work, through support for a group of women involved in the legislative activity of Più Europa and a measure on paternity leave to facilitate the life of working mothers (promoted by the Hon. Alessandro Fusacchia). A clear stance against the DDL Pillon.

Election program:

- promotion of regulatory instruments on: Promotion of the Istanbul Convention, the latest UN Resolutions on the fight against violence against women and on the enhancement of the role of women in public life and in the productive sectors. Support for Italian legislative activities in favor of women's rights, to ensure advancement and not retreat in the field of rights.

- political lobbying: Strengthen the role of the European Parliament, not only in the regulatory field (within the limits of its prerogatives), but also in monitoring the situation of women in the Member States of the European Union.

- specific projects:

material support to: I will be proactively looking for projects to support with the political weight and visibility of the role of European Parliamentarian.

- political activism for: Greater meritocracy in the world of institutions and work, because I am convinced that if on the one hand the quota systems - well done and not just for facade - are short-term measures sometimes necessary, in the long term a meritocratic society that rewards commitment and skills will automatically be more respectful of everyone, starting with women, and will also enhance the presence of women in terms of representation. A greater presence of women in decision-making spheres and in active life - particularly in the constituency for which I am a candidate that sees a high rate of underemployment and very low political representation by women - will also guarantee a more coherent, modern legislative system and true protections of woman rights.

- political lobbying: The European Parliament has the power to indicate to the Commission which path to take in terms of relations with the Member States. In this sense, the path that makes the possibility of accessing EU funds conditional on respect for human and civil rights must be pursued. A rule that today would make it possible to defend the rights of women and sexual minorities in countries such as Hungary.

- specific projects: Gender budgeting means building budgetary policies that allocate resources, also at the European level, in an effective way to reduce the opportunity gap between men and women, verifying the real impact of each initiative. Deep discrimination is often hidden behind measures that seem politically neutral with respect to gender: this is the case of quota 100 in Italy, which can be accessed by many more men than women. The European Union has been working on gender budgeting since 2015, but there is still a lot to do on this issue.

Furthermore, abortion is among the civil rights whose application should be a parameter for the granting of European funds.
