ANCI Toscana has signed the Memorandum of Understanding with the ten Associations of the Coordination of Anti-violence Centers of Tuscany and which are part of the National Association D.i.Re.
The Associations involved are: Artemisia from Florence, Pronto Donna from Arezzo, Olimpia de Gouges from Grosseto, Luna from Lucca One for the other from Viareggio, Frida from San Miniato (PI) Women together with Valdelsa from Colle val d'Elsa ( SI) Amica Donna di Montepulciano (SI) and Alice Cooperative - Centro la Nara di Prato.

Among the objectives of the agreement, the launch of a collaboration to promote and develop actions, projects or initiatives aimed at preventing and combating male violence against women, with particular regard to raising awareness and information on gender-based violence, in compliance with national and international legislation, directives and recommendations of international organizations such as the United Nations and the WHO.
In the coming months, two moments of awareness will be implemented towards the local administrators of the Tuscan region so that through a greater knowledge of the problem of violence and the work carried out by the anti-violence centers, who for years have been engaged in actions in support of women and their children who are subjected to violence, concrete commitments are made and contrast actions identified at a territorial level and in synergy with the network's resources.
This important initiative, strongly desired by the president of ANCI Toscana, Sara Biagiotti and by the coordination of the anti-violence centers of Tuscany-TOSCA in application of the protocol signed by the national Anci and DIRE national network of central violence, will involve the Municipalities in collaborations and actions to contrast violence against women that all municipal councils are invited to vote to put into practice all the actions envisaged by the memorandum of understanding.
